Please note that these questions were specific for “Master in International Management”. In case you are applying for some specialized Master, the questions may be different.

One of the below questions need to be answered to share global mindset and competencies:

a. Which country/culture do you consider the most different from your own? Why? If you would be sent there, how would you adapt? How would you help somebody from that country to adapt to your own?
b. Are there any attributes and competencies you consider crucial to succeed when dealing with diversity in the corporate world? Are those different to the ones you would use in your personal life?
c. Share with us the most amazing experience you have had far away from your comfort zone? And the most shocking one? And the worst?

2. Why do you think ESADE’s MSc Programs in Management are a good fit for you?

3. Describe your mid-term and long-term visions for your post-MSc Program in Management career path. What is it about ESADE you think will help you reach your goals?

4. Please, provide any additional information that you would like to bring to the attention of the Admissions Committee. This may include gaps in employment, your undergraduate record, plans to retake the GMAT or any

other relevant information.

For answering these questions, you need to dig deep into your own aspirations and ideologies and also research well about ESADE and what it has to offer.

Referral form for ESADE:
The applicant needs to provide the name of the recommender (preferably 2), his/her email id and the relationship with the recommender. ESADE then automatically sends them an online referral form which consists of the following questions:

Q. How do you know the applicant? How long have you known them for?

Q. What would you say are the applicant’s key strengths and talents?

Q. What would you say are the applicant’s key weaknesses or areas for improvement?

Q. Please comment on the candidate’s potential for management. Describe an occasion in which you observed the candidate in a leadership role.

Apart from these questions, the referral form may include some metrics and ask your recommender to rate you out of 5.

The interview round:

After approximately 2 weeks of submitting the online application, you should get a response from the admission committee. ESADE gives you the option to choose a timeslot for the interview and the city (Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore are the only options).

The interview can last for 30-45 minutes. It is not a stress interview. The questions will be aimed at the motivation and candidacy and fit for ESADE.

Be prepared for some common questions like:

  1. Tell me about yourself.
  2. Are you up to date with the economic developments in Spain? What is your take on it?
  3. Why do you want to study at ESADE?
  4. Have you applied to other schools? (Note: This question is also asked in the online application form so maintaining coherence between your application and interview answers is important.)
  5. If you answer yes to Q4 -> What if you get accepted at multiple schools? How will you choose?
  6. If you answer no to Q4 -> What if ESADE rejects you, do you have a plan B?
  7. What are your professional goals?
  8. Are you willing to come back to India after education?
  9. Have you ever visited Spain/ Europe? If yes, talk about your experience.
  10. Do you have any questions for me?
